Healing Starts Here.

Guided journals that help teens navigate the challenges of having a loved one in prison.

Our mission

Our mission is to support teens with an incarcerated loved one by providing guided journals that help them process emotions, build resilience, and feel less alone.

ABout The Author

Journal Through the Journey was created by author Brandy Vaughn’s own life experience as the child of a prisoner. Her dad was removed from the home when she was 10 years old and remained incarcerated in numerous federal penitentiaries for the better part of 8 years. It was during this time that her dad became her pen pal, and the seed for “Journal Through the Journey “ was planted.

These journals were created to walk alongside teens navigating the emotional challenges of having a loved one who is in prison. These seasons often bring silence, confusion, and isolation, feelings that are rarely addressed or given space to be expressed.

Through faith-based journaling tools, we provide teens with a safe place to reflect, pray, and put their emotions into words, while staying connected to the people they love. Our mission is simple and heartfelt: to remind every teen that they are seen, supported, and never alone, no matter where their journey leads.

Our Values

Faith First

We believe God walks with us through every season and provides strength, hope, and purpose, even in hardship. Compassion Without Judgment We create spaces where teens can be honest about their emotions without fear, shame, or pressure.

Connection Matters

We value meaningful relationships and provide tools that help teens stay emotionally connected to loved ones despite distance and circumstance. Healing Through Expression We believe writing, reflection, and prayer are powerful tools for healing and personal growth.

Hope for the Journey Ahead

We encourage resilience, goal-setting, and forward movement, reminding teens that their story is still being written.
